Anterior placenta?

We were told I have an anterior placenta. However the doctor didn't say anything else about it. I read some things about it on my own, and learned that while it isn't really dangerous, there are some statistics that show that it isn't as great as having a posterior placenta. So now I'm worried! Also, this is my first baby and I have just waited and waited to feel my baby move inside me, and now it feels as if it'll never happen because of my placenta being towards the front wall of my uterus. Has anyone had an anterior placenta and can give me any sort of information about it?

Just told have anterior am 17 weeks which would explain why not feeling any movement yet. Not heard anything bad other than that. Better than having low lying placenta.

I'm pregnant with twins and baby A has an anterior placenta and baby B has a posterior placenta, the only difference i am aware of now is I only feel Baby B moving and not baby A. She(baby a) is also positioned low brushing against my cervix and he (baby b) is positioned higher.

I have this also, and it's not really a problem. As long as when your stomach grows, the placenta grows upwards with growth you'll be fine. This is usually only a problem if you've had a prior c section, or had plans to have one. It just means that depending upon how baby needs to be born depends upon where your c section cut will be to avoid the placenta. You may feel less movement until the baby gets closer to 25 weeks, simply because the placenta will soften the kicks.

I had an anterior placenta with my son and have one with this baby as well, you are more likely to have one again after already having one. I experienced no issues having an anterior placenta, except for not getting to feel baby as soon as I would like. With my son I never really felt anything until I could feel him from the outside at about 21 weeks. With this pregnancy I do think that I am feeling baby at 18 weeks. The only thing I was told was to be more careful at the end of pregnancy to make sure I didn't have nay big bumps to my belly. I wouldn't worry.
