Long rant
I have just about had it with my high risk dr! I go in every week for gestational diabetes and I feel like they aren't even reading my chart before they call me back. The nurse called me back and got my weight then talked to me about my levels. I told her that I got a few high readings and washed my hands because I forgot I had lotion on and then checked again and they were within range. My fasting are high and she asked me about my portion sizes. I told her I think my portion sizes are controlled ( I'm having twins and not able to eat as much as I was pre-p regnant). She left the room and the dr came in and said he was going to raise my insulin. I asked him why he was raising all my insulin when just my fastings are higher, he said my baby is going to continue to grow and I'll likely need more. I asked him if it was in my chart that I'm having twins bc they keep referring to baby instead of babies and he said yes but that does not mean you can have double the sugar levels. I said I realize this and that is not the issue, I just want to make sure they know bc they keep referring to one baby. I have already asked my delivery dr about changing perinatal dr but he said that's the only dr he works with. I'm so upset that I'm thinking about just not going to the high risk dr anymore, but hubby doesn't agree and suggested that I change both dr's since my dr won't work with any other high risk dr. I just hate how the nurse doesn't seem to read my chart before talking to me about portion sizes when I've lost 2 more pounds since last week! Maybe I'm just hormonal and overreacting but I don't think me getting upset is good for the babies and really think I should do something about this.
