First ultrasound and feeling worried/confused
(Please read all so you can have a little background and understand the question at the end, or skim if you can get the point from that.)
Well today was my first ultrasound. Exciting, right? I'm not so sure. I'm also suppose to be 10 weeks 6 days today and baby was only measuring 5 weeks 6 days. Around April 18th I had some spotting that was a peachy pink for about a day and then until that weeks Thursday was stop/start of brown old blood still spotting. I called my Dr the first day and they just wanted me to basically stay on bed rest until it stopped and keep to my regular appointment for today. I got my positive test at four weeks and the blood and urine were both positive two weeks later at my first appointment. I know my dates are accurate because I was taking ovulation tests and even felt ovulation and implantation. Even though my Dr didn't seemed to be very concerned she still ordered a 48 he blood draw and an ultrasound for next week, had the first blood draw after my appointment today and go back Saturday for the second one. My first pregnancy was very strange so I'm trying to hold onto hope that it's just a bit of the same thing going on this time. Does anybody have any positive stories of something like this happening to them?
Edit: I was on a fertility treatment when I got pregnant so I'm not sure if that messed with anything at all. I find it odd I'd get a positive test and from my last cycle and ovulation day be over 10 weeks and an ultrasound 5 weeks behind. I think I'd prefer my first trimester like my first pregnancy when we didn't know because nothing gave us a positive until 11-12 weeks (not blood, urine, or ultrasound).
