Down syndrome testing

I've been having a long think about the tests that are offered, I would keep the baby either way but I wanted to know if any off u ladies are down the blood test? If I came back high risk I wouldn't take it any further as the needle in the belly I don't like the sound of as it can risk misscarring, what has everyone else decided to do leave the test or take simple blood test?? I'm from uk and 20 years old and have my 12 week scan in 2 weeks
