Thoughts on epidural

Please post stories. Everyones birth is different because everyones body is different. I am told I should hold out til I can't take it anymore. I also hear about nausea with or without an epidural sometimes leading to vomiting. And then I hear of back pains for months after with the epidural. I am so mixed on what to do. I have a phobia of vomiting and I would really looove to enjoy my baby and not feel horrible. Rough choices.
