Neg Preg Test changed hours later !?

Question

Anyone take a Preg Test extra Early and have it be Negative .. Then hours later u look at it and u can see the most Faint line !?? Did u become Preg.. Or do the cheap 88 cent ones just do that !?

Yes! This happened to me! I took a test 4.5 days after 5dt (frozen embryo transfer) because it was DH's birthday and sadly it was negative. Figured it was too early so I went about my day like normal, but then a few hours later I saw the faintest squinter line! It was an internet cheapie so I ran out to buy FRER and took one that night and there was a definite line.

I am currently 13 weeks along. :)

It's called an evaporation line. If it doesn't turn in the first ten minutes then these can appear. It doesn't mean the test is picking up the hcg hormone. A true positive should show within the 10 minutes and have color to it. Wait a few days then check again. Those evil little boogers can really mess with your head. It's best to just toss the test at the 10 minute mark.

This happened to me @ 3w2d! I took the test out of the trash 12 hours later and there was a faint line.  Currently 5w3d and going strong!

This is exactly what happened to me. Now I have a 4 month old. I took a dollar store test one morning looked negative. Hid it from my SO. Came back hours later to throw it away and it was positive. Looked very different from an evap line. I saw plenty of those to know the difference. Didn't believe what I saw. Tested the next AM positive but faint. 3 more cheap tests and a digi and I was sure :)
