Any other step mothers out there that feel a little hurt today?

I by no means want the card, flowers or elementary school crafts and special lunches with my step kids. Im happy they spend the majority of the day with their birth mom..shes their mom.

Its our second mothers day as a family though. I do a lot for these kids, and yet i get no hugs today or just a hey, thanks for all you do to take care of us.

Its probably stupid to want.. but i cant help but feel hurt inside that I am completely ignored by 3 kids im with a lot of the time. My husband and i have custody of them 95%of the time..

I understand im still new with them, they have put me through hell and back..

Just a hug would mean everything and knowing Im appreciated.
