I used to be like this. I had 1 or 2 a year and talked to my gyno. My grandma and my mom had thyroid problems so I got tested for hypothyroidism and now I have them monthly again from getting my thyroid regulated. Ask your doctor to test your thyroid!

Ever since i started my periods have been irregular even while on birth control. I have a hormone imbalance. Your definitely not alone but you should see a gyno and make sure everything is ok.

Have you seen a doctor about it? This is not normal and can be an indicator for certain issues like PCOS and or thyroid disorders.

I have irregular cycles as well and although birth control will regulate your cycles, it is not the cure for it! Healthy eating, exercise daily, and if you have pcos, as I'm challenged with it, Metformin, vitamin c, vitamin b6, and and a daily prenatal will help. I absolutely love my doctor! She did a through exam including blood work, pap smear, ultrasound of my uterus and ovaries, and breast examination. It's very important to get with a doctor who will really care about your situation and help you, not just give you birth control and send you on your way, especially if you're desiring to conceive. I know losing 30lbs would definitely help me bring my cycles back into formation.
