Time off wor k
I am so angry. I am nearly 21 weeks pregnant and in my whole pregnancy so far have had 2 days and 2 half days off sick. And recently i have developed a very annoying and itchy rash and went to the doctor who gave me 2 days off work and very low dosage cteam to clear it up. I work full time. I called my boss to tell h8m i wont be in tomorrow and the next day due to this and he was asking me so many questions like what are my symptoms and what did the doctor prescribe.and in the end basically refuse to let me be off Wednesday even though im covered with a medical certificate. He wants me to see how i am tomorrow and "if I'm better its best i return to work" what? Ive worked hard all these years and built up my own sick leave and when i actually need to take it i am made to feel like i can't and made to feel obligated to work during uncomfortable times. Last time i had a migraine (which i get alot of with pregnancy) and try my hardest not to take any kind of drugs he just said to me as i asked him if i can go home early " you'll be right just have a sit down for 5 mins and you'll feel better trust me" fuck off are you pregnant and have a spitting headache? That's what i felt like saying to him but i didnt :-( i hate being stepped over and made to feel small and obligated to work when i don't feel well. Is it just me or is this guy a wanker??? When i was 17 weeks he also called me into the office and badgered me about what ill do after the baby comes, how long ill have off and if ill come back as a manager and full time etc, who will look after baby if my husband works too etc. He said he needed to know asap and it would be kinda silly to be pregnant and not know ahat ill do after the baby arrives and how long ill have off. Then a hr lady was in the store at some point and said they need only 10 weeks notice before i go on leave and if at any time i change my idea on what i want to door when i come back that its no problem and just need a weeks notice. Why is he being so pushy then?! What would you do i this situation? ?
