3D Ultrasound?

Question

I would like to get my own 3D Ultrasound, when is the best time to go and to get an accurate Gender Reveal?  The ultrasounds they r doing at my Hospital suck and they are always rushing. Said they r more concerned with looking for Medical Issues.

They should be more concerned with looking for medical issues if they wasn't if be worried. But a more accurate reveal is at 16 weeks

places near me say the closer you wait to 20 weeks the better but 15/16 weeks would still be OK. I know what you mean though. the ultrasound tech at my hospital isn't very good either. she didn't really rush like crazy but she didn't say a peep the entire time (at both). wouldn't tell us what it was we were looking at. didn't seem happy about anything at all, like she really hated her job and would rather be anywhere else. just wasn't fun. :(
I never got a 3D ultrasound but my old roommate from college is going to school to be an ultrasound technician so we've gone to see her twice now to get free scans so she can practice and we can see our baby. A lot more fun.

If you're just wanting to get good pictures of the baby I would recommend 26-29 weeks. My husband and I went at 24 weeks (we already knew from a previous ultrasound that she's a girl) and although we definitely saw her and got pictures of her sweet little face, she wasn't very filled out. I'm waiting next time around till closer to 28/29 weeks. 
To find out gender, my friend went and had 3D done at 15 weeks and saw it was a boy instantly. I'm sure it always depends on the baby/pregnancy though.
