Successful stories of pregnancy after 40?

After years of uncertainty  (mostly my husband's), we have both decided to give it a try to concieve a third child. I just turned 40 and honestly, everything I read about pregnancy over 40 is terrifying me. Am I crazy to even try? Success stories are greatly appreciated:)

Hi. I am currently trying for no4 I am 44. But I have a 9 month old son born when I was 43!! Conceived naturally, we did loose a couple of babies on the way but I got pregnant every third month. He is totally perfect delivered at term no complications other than I had pelvic girdle pain and was on crutches the last 3 months!! I have  10 and 12 yr olds too. 
Had a chemical pregnancy 3 months ago, I do get disappointed but will keep trying it can be done! Baby dust and hugs. Xx

Hi.

I'm 41 and about 5 weeks with number four. I always tell my husband it will take a while to get pregnant but that wasn't the case for us.

Had my first at 35. She wasn't planned. Had my second at 37. First month trying. Had my third at 39. First month trying. And now at 41 it happened first month trying.

I wasn't sure I wanted to try again because I was convinced it wouldn't happen because of my age. I'm so happy I did.

Conceived naturally 3 months after my 40th birthday. Used glow to chart fertile days & used OPKs. Month of conception I actually thought we mis-timed the bd'ing, it was maybe a day or two earlier than I thought we should, but then two weeks later a BFP!! I actually had all the symptoms of AF. Me & SO still smile our 10 month old little girl was conceived when we bd'd as though the pressure was off. Good luck to you & all on the forum

I am 43 and will be 44 in June. I am now pregnant for the 2nd time since I turned 40 my youngest is currently 20 months. Any questions just ask.

I conceived my first at 41, we conceived naturally the third month we tried. I had a healthy, normal pregnancy and now have a healthy, beautiful 16 mo old daughter. We had a miscarriage back in November and are now trying to conceive again, I am 43 and my husband is 48. We are on our sixth month trying this time but my OPK didn't work two of the months and we were unable to DD the second day we were supposed to last month. We will find out if we were successful this month next Friday. Fingers crossed we would love to give our daughter a sibling.
