Fell down the stairs

Lauren
10 weeks pregnant and just fell down about 9 stairs on back/ bum at a high speed. A N E won't see me saying there's nothing they could do and to wait and not stress.

That is a scary situation. My sister in law slipped on ice in a parking lot 9 months pregnant and went to the emergency room. Luckily she fell on her backside so the baby was protected. She did break her tailbone and then could not deliver naturally but her body protected the baby. I think if you did not hit the front at all you should be ok. If you want to, go to the ER to get checked out, it's your piece of mind!

I know myself there is nothing they can do but a but of reassurance would be nice.

That's lovely... Nice that you and baby are not a priority! :(

Just slipped on the ice in the way to work so panicking now!Only good thing is that I have my first midwife appointment this morning so hopefully she check everything over for me.So annoyed at myself though because I knew how icy it was, should have got a cab :(

What kind of doctor would refuse to see you??? You need to be seen and have transvaginal sono to make sure baby is okay! Can you go to urgent care or ER?

I have ordered a sonoline doppler on amazon prime hopefully that will ease my anxiety until my dating scan.

We have a n e over here n its ridiculous. when I fell on my stomach at 33 weeks pregnant #1 I had to wait 3 hours to be seen by the time they saw me the bruise was visible and I was having mild contractions. They had to give me the injection to help baby develop and waters broke a few days later.

Has anyone else had a similar experience?

There really isn't anything that a doc can tell you other than wait. Hope you feel better and that all turns out okay, I can't imagine how you must feel.
