My due date is May 20th. Early April I had a very busy and stressful week. That weekend I was due to move towns and hubby starts his new job. I went in for my routine scan on the Wednesday and I got told to get straight to the delivery suite at the hospital. I was told baby was a bit on the small side and the placenta wasn't doing its job. At this point I didn't understand. I was monitored for 24 hours and I demanded to be transfured to another hospital as I had to move. I transfured that night. The next day I was induced. It didn't work. Baby was destressed and heart rate was dropping. By this time hubby arrived after finishing moving all of our stuff. I was rushed into theatre for an emergency c section. After an hour they finally got the epidural in my back after it leaked out twice! Within 5 minutes our daughter was born. Born at 35 weeks. Weighing 3 pounds 6 ounces. She was done fine. They took her to neonatal intensive care and popped her into the incubator. After 3 long weeks in intensive care I finally got to bring her home. She is 5 pounds now and doing well.
