Ask your doctor. Different ones work better for different people. When I started BC when I was a teen, they had me on a triphasic one first (three phase, the 3 weeks of actual medicine were different strengths), but my period started showing up whenever it wanted to, so they switched me to a monophasic one (one phase, 3 weeks all the same), and that worked better. I don't remember what the name was, I've been off it for years, but it was whatever generic one they give you at planned parenthood.
