Labor soon?

Yesterday I had my cervix checked. I was 1cm and 70% effaced. I am 37w6d. After that I had some brown spotting which I was told was normal but this morning I'm pretty sure I lost my mucous plug. It also had brown blood. Does this mean anything or should I just relax and keep waiting?

I'm also 37 weeks. I lost my mucus plug it had brown blood in it, the day after she checked my cervix. She must have dislodged it. That was a week ago and   still no signs of labor here.

I've been 100% effaced and only dilated to 1 cm for two weeks now.. I'm 38 weeks 3 days now. I get BH but nothing consistent, unfortunately.

Unfortunately it could mean your body is slowly preparing for labor but it could be doing so for a few weeks. I got my hopes up BIG time when at my 37 wk appt my doc said I was 3cm and 80% effaced, lost my mucus plug and have been losing more and more every few days after That. The doc even said he doubts he'll see me at my next appointment. I've continued to be active and take my daily walks, yet I was so disheartened when doc checked me yesterday at 39 weeks and I was still only 3.5cm and 90% effaced. I've now come to terms that I can sit this way for awhile and need to try to keep myself preoccupied, or else I drive myself crazy with the anticipation. Oh and the cherry on top, I get false labor every night between 3:30-5am and then the contractions go away.😭 this has been happening for over 9 days now.

I've been 1cm and 70% effaced for more than two weeks. Never spotted though after any exam. You never know! I'm hoping for a change at my appt this week!! 🙏🏼

Could be, or maybe not. Spotting is normal after a cervical check.

It could indicate labor and it could mean nothing. Unfortunately it could go either way.
