Nursing too much?

Question

My baby loves to eat! He is 7 weeks old and he always wants to eats. If he's not asleep he's on the boob. Last night he projectile committed all over me and was fussy the rest of the night. I'm scared he is overeating, but I don't want to reject him his food. Any advice?

You can't over feed a breastfed baby. They do projectile vomit occasionally - my daughter is 6 weeks and it has happened 3 times. It is normal. If it happens all the time speak to your doctor.
Don't refuse the boob :)

Babies that young can't over eat but they can comfort nurse. Where they suck but don't actually take on enough milk to actually eat. My son did this and I wasn't a big fan of binkies.

No such thing. It's okay. Sometimes they may take too much too fast but you should still be feeding on demand. If he keeps doing it and does it after every feed then check with your doctor. But babies spit up. It happens. It'll be okay!
