I know that bleeding after an IUD removal is very common but I was just curious everyone's take on what happened to me. I got my IUD removed Thursday May 5th and did not have any bleeding/spotting or cramping and my boyfriend and i had sex Saturday May 7th with nothing but a small tiny amount of spotting after. And nothing all day Sunday. Then Sunday night we had sex again and in the middle of the night I started Bleeding heavily so I put a pad on. Then Monday morning I got out of bed and just felt it gushing. And when I got to the bathroom I had a blood clot about 3inchs by 4 1/2 inches  and the blood wouldn't stop. Then through out the day i continue to bleed like a normal period. Then today it is just a little spotting here and there. this was my second IUD. I got my first one put in after my daughter was born in 2009. And so I had this second one inserted Jan of 15. And with my first IUD i spotted almost continually for the full 5 years. Then nothing at all with this second one. So I'm not sure if this is just built up? Or what I'm supposed to expect. The reason I'm confused is because it took 3 days basically for the blood to come. And have minimal to no cramping at all. Thoughts?
