Jealous??

My boyfriend has been best friends with this girl for over 5 years. Am i crazy to get jealous when they text etc, and that hes protective over her?

You need to either be okay with it or leave. My guy best friend for over 7 years told me that if a girl ever made him choose between her or me, he'd choose me because I've been there with him through everything and was there before her. It is not your business to get in between his friendship. If they've been friends for 5 years, it's almost 100% platonic. He's obviously going to text her, maybe call, and want to hang out. And yes, he's going to be protective over her, especially if you make her out to be the bad guy or try to get him to stop talking to her. He's allowed to have female friends. Just get to know her. Tell him you do feel a little jealous and that hanging out together might help. I don't think you're crazy for feeling jealous, but I would think you're crazy if you wanted him to cut contact. That's wrong.

Its normal to feel jealous about this situation but remember shes a friend for a reason and youre his girlfriend and if he wanted it another way he'd be with her. Dont worry too much about it unless he gets a bit secretive and shady!

Normal to feel jealous but this is one of those situations where you gonna learn to accept it or not. Because regardless she's gonna be in his life and there's really nothing you're able to do to change that. Good luck
