Pineapple can make you miscarry/get your period?!

If you ate 10 whole pineapples in one sitting it might, but if you just eat a regular amount it shouldn't be a problem.

I've heard so that high doses of Vitamin C can jumpstart your period, so it is possible!

I know that if you eat a lot of fresh pineapple it helps to soften your cervix and helps with dilation. Some people believe eating it in the first trimester will make your cervix weak. But I'm almost 36 weeks and ate like 3 pineapples a week before getting pregnant, and all through my pregnancy. Cervix is soft and I'm half a cm dilated, and baby is as healthy as possible!

Further research would show it typically needs to be FRESH pineapple and quite a bit of it to induce labor. Just chomping on some pineapple isn't going to cause miscarriage unless you're already having issues.

I ate pineapple all through my first trimester -- no issues here! Baby is super healthy and all is well. I love pineapple -- still eat it all the time. :)
