Dr breaking your water ?!

Question

Curious your ladies experience if your dr broke your water to help you go into labor and how it went afterwards ? I'm praying in far enough along for them to do so and make it kick start into hard labor.

My doctor broke my water in the hospital after I was 5cm dialated on my own

Mine broke my water at 4am and she was born at 5:35am. Super fast!

Do you mean stripping membranes? Because that they do in the office. But they won't break your water until you're actually in active labor.

My doctor broke my water at 38+1 due to high BP. I was already at 3cm (had progressed from a 2 in the time we were being monitored). Immediately after she broke my water I began having very regular, very intense contractions. Our baby girl was born 3 hours 7 minutes later after 15 minutes of pushing. No time for an epidural, but the laughing gas got me through transition 😊

Broke my waters on day 2 of induced labour. Day 4 emergency c section still not 2cm dilated. Sometimes it just doesn't happen.

I was stuck at 4cm pitocin literally wasn't doing anything so my dr came in turned off the pitocin and broke my water at 2:04pm and my baby girl was born at 2:50pm and I pushed 3 times and less than 5 minutes

I was at 8 1/2 cm for like 8 hrs no progress and I asked for my water to be broken multiple times and it took a while when they finally did it it was like 30 mins and I was fully dialated.

My doctor broke my water and my daughter started coming hours later then her head got stuck and I stopped dilating so I needed an emergency csection. Once I got to hold her head was bleeding from it stretching:(. But I was so happy she was in my arms I love her so much:)

They did mine and it didn't hurt or anything... it literally just felt like I had a gallon of water hiding in my belly with my daughter and they just released it. It felt like a giant weight just left my belly, it was weird.

I was in labor, but they had to give me pitocin to make my contractions stronger, but I still wasn't progressing well. The doctor broke my water and it was really painful and it really didn't seem to make my labor progress any faster.
