Scheduling c-section & inductions

Hi there... why are you ladies being scheduled for your c-sections or inductions? I'm a ftm that was diagnosed with mild pre-eclampsia & put on bed rest a couple weeks ago. My ob & specialist don't seem to be in a rush to get my big man out. He's around 7.9lbs now supposedly & I'm 36w4d. I'm just curious because I keep seeing posts about June mommies being scheduled for May.
