Ammarie was born March 3 at 10:38 AM. She was born at exactly 37 weeks. I started having contractions around 11 am on March 2, but they stopped around 3 in the afternoon. Later that night, I woke up around 11:30 with contractions every 2 1/2 minutes apart! I waited until my husband for home from work, around 2 am. He took a shower then we ate a bowl of cereal lol. Got in the car, and gas light was on! In our small town, there's only one gas station open at night, so we went across town to get gas. Contractions were getting horrible by now. We got to the hospital around 3:30. I went to triage and had horrible back labor. I was the only one there, and my nurse was amazing! Bringing me water, helping me find a position that I could bare. My husband slept during all of this. Around 6 am, they admitted me. We began to call our families... My sister was about to board a plane in Atlanta going to Texas so she was devastated and almost came home. At around 6:30 I was begging for the epidural. They FINALLY got my blood work back, and I had the okay to get it. They stuck me about six times.. I kept passing out. And the night nurse made the comment "I don't know why you can't just sit still." Well, the day shift nurse had already come in, and was helping. After they gave me the epidural, she checked me and told the nasty night nurse "She isn't sitting still because she's 9 centimeters dilated." Night nurse left. Day nurse was freaking amazing. I almost named my baby after her lol 😂 Well,the epidural didn't even touch the pain on my right side so they gave me another epidural. That worked good so I finally napped for about an hour. I finally hit 10 CM around 8:30. We were just waiting on the doctor to get started. I told my mom and MIL that. They decided to go get breakfast from the cafeteria and they were going to bring my husband something back. Well, while they were gone, we began to push. About 20 minutes into pushing, my mom and MIL walk in on me lol vagina in the air and all! They of course had to leave, and my sweet girl was born a while after! She is 10 weeks old now, and my whole world!!
