Swaddling?

Question

I've been swaddling my 4-day-old son in muslin swaddling blankets, but he always breaks out of the wrap, and I get so tired re-wrapping knowing it's not going to stay. Any tips on getting a tight swaddle to stick?We have a couple swaddler sleeping products, but I get concerned about how close they come to his chin and whether they'll creep over his mouth during the night. :(

I have three boys and they all easily broke even Velcro swaddles. Woombie makes a zipper pod and we love them. Easy on, easy off. None of the dangers with restricting hip movement. They can still have minimal arm movements as well but won't startle awake. They are a great buy

We use the swaddlers & just center it so it's a little under her shoulders. I too was worried about how close to her neck it came. She hasn't broken out of it yet!

We use Halo Sleep Sacks. We were also concerned about it creeping over his mouth so we tucked the outside flap in a little and brought it across lower than necessary, away from his face. After a few weeks of growing it wasn't an issue anymore.

U can use a burp cloth to hold baby's arms..

Make sure you have the right size for your baby and it'll be fine! Try it for a nap or two and see how it sits while baby is sleeping

Look up the batwing swaddle technique on YouTube! It is the only way my daughter won't break out of a SwaddleMe. She hates the zip up ones because she can still move her arms so she just continuously struggles against it. The batwing plus SwaddleMe keeps her really snug and she falls asleep pretty quick and has even stayed asleep for almost five hours a couple nights! She's almost one month old.
