Who did you have in the room with you?

Question

I have about 8 weeks left and am having major anxiety. (I am a first time mom and also a single Mommie)
I have amazing supportive friends and family but I don't know who to let in the room with me when the time comes for my little boy to arrive. I don't want to hurt my moms feelings but she is honestly the LAST person I want in there lol but I don't want to be alone either.

I'd say have who really really want in there with you. Just one person. If you don't want your mom then try to find a nice way to present that to her. She will be there in the waiting room. The nurses can always go get her in case you change your mind. 
I'd say have the friend you consider family in there.

Do whatever you want to do it's about you and your baby build whatever support team you need i luckily didn't have to say no to my mom because she had an outbreak of shingles so she wasn't aloud in the delivery room I know if she would have been there I would have been so annoyed by her( I love me mom but she can be annoying sometimes)

My significant other and my doula/bestie. I'd look into getting a doula because they can be so supportive in ways that someone untrained may not be.

I too suggest talking to a few doulas in your area (they'll sit down and talk with you about their services for free). Many in my town offer discounts and payment plans if money is an issue. Mine knows how to file for insurance reimbursement under "birth education." Doulas are awesome encouragers and (should be) non judgemental. They will support you in however you choose to give birth.

I had my mpther, mother in law and my husband. This time I may only have my mother in law. She is an amazing photographer and I love her!

Don't feel bad, I didn't want my mom either. I love her dearly, but for that type of thing I just wasn't comfortable.

I am NOT having my mom or MIL in the room when I have our baby. I thought about it for awhile, and decided to just have my husband in the room. And I explained my reasoning why, and he agreed. If the time comes, and I change my mind, a phone call can always be made. But once they're there, it'll be a lot harder to get them to leave!

with my first daughter i had my fiance, my mother in law and my mother. with my second it was just my fiance and I it was a much better experience that way. So I would say have the person who makes you feel most comfortable.
