Menstrual cup?? HELP

I've been reading so much on menstrual cups but I really just need a couple ladies to help me out here. I've tried to softcup a few times and I never get it right! But I want to TRY a menstrual cup but they're so expensive 😩 I know that they can last a lifetime but I'm only 17 and don't have a job so I just can't really sink that much money into something that I don't know for sure is gonna work for me... Is there any brands that you ladies use that isn't $40?? Or just any other tips in general? I'm totally lost here and I need some guidance.

Sadly I don't know of any cheap brands. I have the Diva Cup which is $30 most places. I know it's a lot but if you're willing to try the investment I would suggest it. Have you had relative success with tampons? I think going from pads to a cup would be a BIG jump but if you're already using tampons it's definitely reasonable.

If someone in your life like a parent is willing to buy it for you then you could ask. If you have to pay for it yourself I say wait until your low on tampons/pads and need to buy more you're likely planning to spend 10-15 dollars on those anyway and then you just need to add the other 15 and you have enough to get the cup. I know it's simple but it made me feel better about the purchase thinking about how I would have to spend half the money either way.

Hmmm I get what your saying- but a one time purchase of a cup will cost less than months of pads and tampons. Also the convenience is a biiigggg plus. Honestly I think they should work fine in women who have had sex. Mine hurt the first few times (virgin) and it took a couple of months to get a hold on but now I love it.
