Ovarian 2cm cyst

Hi I was recently diagnosed with a cyst on my right ovary. The doctor told me it's the size  of a almond. She wants me to pass it. She says to wait three cycles. I'm on my second cycle. Can someone tell me what it looks like to pass a cyst in my size or the expierence? I'm worried. She told me if I don't pass it then I'll need another ultrasound and have to have surgery. I'm 28. I don't take birth control but in a relationship of 5 years. I can't take any form of birth control because I have interstitial cystitis. I appreciate any feed back on the expierence and looks of passing a cyst! Thank you so much!
