Adult diapers postpartum?

I'm interested in buying some diapers for myself after reading all the comments on postpartum bleeding. 
What brand do you recommend? Looking for a good fit and the less smell the better. (I wore size 5 -7 pants prepreg and gained about 30lbs at 38wks).
Assuming I'll use pads when I'm out and about but diapers for bed and difficult days seem reasonable.

Depends silhouette. I wasn't much of pad user before pregnancy, so they were really uncomfortable for me. I wore these out and about even under leggings and jeggings, couldn't even tell. I bled a lot postpartum. No I didn't have anything more than postpartum bleeding wrong with me. Every pregnancy and woman is different. I didn't know I would need the diapers until I saw how much I was bleeding and soaking through pads like crazy at the hospital after giving birth. So just before leaving hospital I had my husband run out and get them for me. So maybe wait until you have a better understanding of how much you will bleed afterwards.

I think adult diapers are overkill unless you have some sort of other problem going on.

I bought Always brand diapers. Haven't tried them but plan on it after birth. I hated the ones the hospital gave me and hoping these are better. I have used Always pads for my periods since I got it and they have been good to me so hoping the diapers do the same.

Personally I find adult diapers to be overkill, but I did just fine with overnight pads changed frequently (which you will obviously want to do anyway). I also wore the stretchy underwear/shorts the hospital provided me with to keep everything in place. But I only bled 2-3 weeks.

I bought a small package of depends silhouette, primarily just for use in the hospital immediately post partum. I assume regular pads will be fine after that, but when I'm already tender and facing the alternative of the mesh panties with pads, an all in one pair of underwear just sounds nicer to me.

I used depends I had a bad tear as well as urine incontenance and needed them desperately. They were comfortable and I only used them for about 2 weeks pp then I switched to pads which was way more comfortable. The hospital diapers were just awful. I would recommend bringing your own if you can.

I bought some and never used them. Much preferred the always infinity overnight pads for PP.

They weren't mesh, they were spandex boyshorts. They were awesome. But anyway, any larger sized comfy undies would work the same.

I think the bleeding was the one thing about the postpartum recovery that I was completely mislead on. Personally I thought I was going to bleed like I was dying! Lol! But I was pleasantly surprised that it was just like a heavy period. The first two days in the hospital were heavy but after that it went to pretty normal bleeding and definitely didn't last as long as I thought! It's always nice to be prepared, but diapers would of been a waste for me. My hospital didn't even offer me any!
