Diaper stock?

Question

When is a good time (weeks along) to start diaper and wipes stock? We grocery shop each week and want to make it habit to get one pack of each during each trip.

I personally didn't diaper stock with my first baby. I got a bunch of diapers at my baby shower, but I found that some brands didn't work for my baby. For example, some people prefer Huggies to Pampers and vice Versa. We used Pampers for the first 3 months and then she started exploding out of them so we switched to Huggies and she was in those until she was potty trained. I've heard some people say the opposite.

We stocked up started at 32 weeks but wish we did a lot sooner. My bubs has gone through tons of diapers already. You can exchange sizes later on if you need to

ASAP, hehe. We started at 10 weeks bc target had a sale where we got a gift card with the purchase of 2 packs of diapers. A few weeks later my grocery store had 44 count of huggies for $4 so I stocked up then. I would look for sales and buy several different brands and sizes.

I'm personally buying a Target gift card every paycheck. I'm stockpiling them until the baby is born, so that I don't buy diaper brands with the risk of not liking them and being unable to return or exchange them. I'm going to begin at ten weeks.

I started at 15 weeks,  I didn't have nearly enough with my son so it was harder financially.  Way easier to stock up,   the stores here will do exchange anytime on brand or size too which is nice.

We're having twins but not stocking up. I don't see the point. We bought one pack of newborn size and hopefully we'll get a lot at the baby shower. If we need more, we'll buy them all at once a couple weeks before they're due.

I started at 15weeks and I only bought bulk and on sale. Mostly from target. You can ALWAYS exchange diapers with out a receipt. I nannied and fell in love with huggies and luvs interchangeably. So I have both. I have about 2500 diapers now I'm 36w. Last week I was able to get 256 huggies size 3 lil movers & 368 wipes all for 27 dollars! I couldn't pass that up!!! I have a ton of wipes too! I did ask for diapers at my shower but didn't receive any so I'm glad I started my stock pile. Personally, I figured if I could purchase as many diapers now it'll free up more money for other things because kids are expensive!

I started in second trimester, because I had miscarried in the previous year, and wanted to wait. I enjoy couponing, so I only buy diapers when the price is right. By stocking up early, it lets me be selective about my purchases rather than buying out of necessity. My daughter is only 6 weeks old, but I have enough 1s and 2s, so I'm stocking up on 3s. I ended up getting my diapers today for about 8 cents a diaper after coupons and rebates, and that included a free tub of wipes. I just quit my job to be a FT SAHM, so I must be extra conscious of my budget!!!!
