When to make the first appointment?

Hey everyone! So, I just found out yesterday morning that I'm pregnant! It's my first and I haven't told anyone other than my husband and in posts on here, so I can't really ask anyone I know just yet.

When was your first doctors appointment? Did you tell anyone before your first appointment? Do doctors always do a blood test to confirm the pregnancy?

My husband isn't sure if we should trust the at home tests, we should wait and have a doctor confirm it, but I'm not sure how that works or if that means I'll have to wait a long time.

These are the tests I took, they seem pretty clear to me! (The one on the too was the last one I took and I had run out of pee at the point, that's why it's a little wonky. Sorry if that's tmi!)

Where I'm from they won't see you till your 8 weeks at which time they will do a pee sample and take blood to check hcg levels. At the first appointment they will also go over insurance and all of that

My first appt with my first was at 15 weeks. They do the complete blood work up and pap smears and pregnancy tests the first appt. My second i went in when i was 3 weeks pregnant i thought i was further along so she was still in the yolk stage so i had to make an appt for my 8 week appt so they could hear the heart beat. My 3rd i made the appt at 12 weeks from when i thought i got pregnant. I told everyone before my appts. Alot of people like to wait until after there first trimester but it all up to you.

Make your app when you get your pis even though most drs wont take you until you are 8 weeks but they may take you sooner if you have issues
