Dr. Not giving information

Ashley
So I'm just wondering if any has had a similar situation or can give advice...
I have been seeing a specialist since November. She ran all kinds of tests on my husband and I. All that she told me was wrong was my vit. D level was low and thyroid was slightly under active. Ok no big deal a few pills, problem solved. We start IUI treatments with letrozole and ovidrel. All three did not work. We went in for a consult to discuss what was next. Here I am expecting to talk about IVF. She ends up telling me since my first IUI she suspected some kind of blockage in my left tube. This was based on my monitoring ultrasounds. She said we will do surgery and remove the tube then we will do IVF. So I need to schedule it before I leave because her schedule gets full. They never told me any of this and when I asked why, she said there's no evidence to show that IUI wouldn't work with a tube issue. That made no sense to me and I felt I needed a second opinion. I've since gone to another doctor who said he would like to do an HSG test which I'm having tomorrow. He said he would never just do surgery before making sure which is what my first doctor wanted to do. He also said he would not diagnose based on that kind of ultrasound. My insurance covers nothing so I'm self pay. We have put so much money in for what I feel very well could have been something that was never going to happen. I'm not sure what to do at this point.
