Postpartum sex

So I was told I couldn't have sex after birth till I healed. We ended up trying about a week ago but was too painful so we only did it once. Then I had my 6 week check up and they won't give me the iud for birth control until I abstain for two more weeks. It's so annoying I feel like I haven't had sex in forever and when we did while pregnant it was not comfortable for me. Now I'm just getting so impatient, I just want to be back to normal 😩
