How often do you use tampons during your period?

I don't usually like them on my heavy days, but towards the end I use only tampons because I feel like it helps clean stuff out, so I don't have to use or douche or something.

Also, I am fully open to other ideas on how to cleanse after my period ends. Because before I started doing this system, it would be like 3 days later and residue would still be coming out. It makes me feel really icky.

I only use tampons, I hate pads. But seriously, don't douche. It's not good for your vagina, just let it do its thing and you'll be fine.

Oh definitely. I've never used a douche in my life. I was just looking for other ways to help cleanse quickly (without putting something up there) because that extra three days of bloody residue turns my period week into 10 days and I want to shorten it. My actual period lasts 6-7 days.

Your vagina is self cleaning. You shouldn't be using douches or putting anything up there in the first place. A shower should be sufficient to clean what's necessary. Douching will only mess up your ph balance and cause dryness and odor.
