My OB told me not to use coco butter because it hasn't worked for many mothers she has seen. Anyway, I've been using Clarins Huile tonic oil and Clarins stretch mark cream about 2-3x a day since the first trimester. I have a vertical keloid scar on my belly that I'm trying to keep supple so it won't hurt as I get bigger. The scar used to hurt prepregnancy whenever I stretched so I was a bit scared. Anyway, no stretch marks yet and the scar isn't hurting..but then again I'm only 25 weeks.

Protein, vitamin c (internally and externallyl and vitamin e. If you can find a cream with vit e and c you're gonna be fine. Midwife has me on vit c daily in addition to my prenatal and 70g of protein. I had a tummy tuck and a breast lift which means tons of scars. These things are a must as suggested by midwife, surgeons (have 2), and nutritionist.

Palmers tummy butter for stretch marks. The best way to avoid stretch marks is DO NOT ITCH!! When your skin stretches it's going to itch. Pat and if you can't resist the itch at least scratch lightly over clothes. I apply palmers every night before bed. Make sure whatever you buy has elastin in it because that's what gives your skin the extra stretch so it doesn't rip and make stretch marks. It will also help any stretch marks you already had and will help your tummy shrink when you're healing. Proof that I know this works is I DONT do this routine on my boobs and they have so many crazy marks on them. I scratch them and don't lotion them like I should and they have tons of marks. Obvs I won't post a picture but it's the truth!!

Almost 37 weeks and NO stretch marks. I've been following this routine since about week 20 when I started to get a bump.
