When you start brushing teeth?

This may be a stupid question, but my 5 month old has 2 teeth already. When are you supposed to be brushing them?

My baby hasn't got teeth yet, but I went to the clinic to get my baby weighed and lady there had asked the health visitor and the health visitor advised to start as soon as the teeth come through with a soft baby toothbrush and baby toothpaste but she said to use the tiniest amount of toothpaste as the baby will not manage to spit it out properly

Never a stupid question. I would ask the doctor thoigh. My baby is the same age and has two teeth. I don't brush them but I do have the finger brush thingy. Not sure what it's called. It slips on one finger and has a crush on it.

Ive give my son a toothbrush he loves chewing it and rubbing his gums with it. I put it in the fridge to cool it fot him. Im letting him explore it so when it comes to using one he wont be scared
