Is this a decent price for a newborn photo session?

Lol I could buy a nice camera, printer, and all the works to do them myself with money left over to get baby stuff.  I guess that's just me though I'd never pay even close to that much for someone to do pictures.

I guess you do get a handful, but I would never in a million years pay nearly 700$ for pictures I can have my friends/family take, or get done for cheaper.. I mean are you gonna do that with EVERY kid you have ? Yes they're lasting memories, but I'm sure you can find cheaper with the same quality and all; unless you want all that extra stuff included. Unless I were Kim Kardashian and made of money, I wouldn't be spending that much on photos. Id rather put that money towards more important things like diapers, food, a nursery. But if you have the money and want to do that.. Go for it I guess!

That's the standard price around me (Chicago) for quality pictures and you usually don't get any prints so I think that's a great price. There's a huge difference between professional photos and ones you can take yourself or have a friend take. This is a one time event so I think spending a little money is worth it.

I am not really sure, but that seems steep?? I know my neighbor is a photographer and she charges around $300? Not sure what all is included but I've seen her work and it looks great! I would think maybe there would be someone that charges less but if you don't mind paying that go for it I'm sure that person does good work.

We have a place here in SD that lets you rent their studio room, all their props and backdrops, as well as costumes or pretty much any clothing in the storefront to take pictures. It's $25 per 45min. The only catch is you have to bring your own camera/use your phone. Which I totally don't mind since I'm so picky about pictures anyways.
