Natural birth or elective C section?

Brandi • Have 1 little girl who was born June 2015 and now pregnant again with our second! Due in December ☺️
Hello everyone, so I am pregnant with my second baby and I am petrified of giving birth. I don't want to scare anyone but with my first baby I had a terrible and extremely traumatic experience and it's put me off going for another natural delivery. I really want to opt for an elective c section which they are happy to help me with due to having such a traumatising vaginal delivery.
To cut a long story short, I went into labour and was contracting thick and fast, by 8am I arrived at the hospital and they checked me, I was only 3cm and they told me I needed to be at least 4cm to be considered in labour, so I read of being out into a delivery room, I was put in a ward with other women. The midwife told me she would check me again in 4 hours. After half an hour of being in the ward I was in terrible pain, but they refused to check me again for any more dilation as they said it was very unlikely for me to have dilated further. I was very upset as by this point my contractions were about 10 seconds apart and about a minute long and wer severely painful. I begged for pain relief but they refused, they offered paracetamol which I took but it honestly did nothing. They refused to give Me gas and air too. After another 30 minutes I ran to the bathroom and told them I needed to push, my OH was pushed out of the bathroom in which he got angry and told them to check me. They told me I didn't need to push, but I really did and I began to push on the toilet. They agreed to check me if I went back to the ward, so I waited for the contraction to end and ran to the ward where a contraction began again! I screamed through the pain and they checked me and told me I was 10cm! I had to run to the delivery suite and push my daughter out with no pain relief. I pushed her out in about 30 seconds and just 2 pushes. She practically fell out bless her. After that I began losing a lot of blood and almost hemmoraged. The head nidwife was called in and she had to massage my belly which was painful as she was not gentle because she needed to make my belly clot the blood up. I needed a lot of stitches because the labour happened so fast and luckily didn't need a blood transufion. I had terrible postpartum depression in which I still have cbt for. I am now so scared to have another natural delivery and have been reading about opting for a c section. After my experience what do you think I should go for? Please give your experiences and reasonings below.
Thank you and sorry for the long post!
