Swaddle or not?

Question

Until what age you should swaddle your LO?
My son is 3,5 months old and our ped told us we should have stopped swaddling him when he was 2 months.

I stopped swaddling when my baby worked her arms free. She was only about a month old at that time though. I've always been told to stop swaddling when your baby can roll over while sleeping

I stopped when my daughter was able to roll over. But I do recall not swaddling her arms about halfway through that time because she wanted her arms out. (She's 3 now)

My son is 9 months and he has a swaddle of sorts. His arms are free but it wraps around his belly. It gives comfort and keeps him warm since we still can't give him a blanket without him wrapping it around his head and neck. We stopped putting him in a traditional swaddle at about 6 months but he was also a preemie so his adjusted age is almost 3 months behind.

I stopped swaddling when he kept working himself out of it. I don't remember when that was

When they can roll over stop fully swaddling but you can use wraps that allow babies to keep their arms free like a halo sleep sack.
