Baby Changing: Do you believe it's ok for a mother/father want people out of the family to leave the room when they're changing their baby?

I've seen this a few times because the parents believe that their infants private parts will be out and they don't want others outside of the family to see them. Do you mind/think it's weird/normal??? What is your opinion on this? I don't really think it's that big of a deal, like I don't mind if someone see's me changing my child, but I guess others do lmao.

It's a personal preference. Some parents arevery private people and are very private with their children so if they do ask you to leave the room while they change them I'd just respect them and step out for a moment.

If I'm around people I don't know or not close to, I just take my daughter in a different room to change them.

It's all about preference. I don't like changing my son infront of people because he isn't circumcised and people always seem to have something to say.

I wouldn't change my baby in a private room for a lot of reasons: if he pooped a lot of people get sick seeing/Smelling it, sometimes you have to wrestle your kid (not literally), if you have strangers overt you don't know them or if they are a pedophile etc.

I would obviously respect their wishes but i do think it's a little strange. I could see saying like hey it's a poopy diaper if you don't wanna stick around for this I understand lol. But everyone is different and there's nothing wrong with privacy.

I think it can be a little offensive to ask someone to leave the room, I'd be wondering what kind of person they think I am 😵 I wouldn't look or comment on the private parts either like I've seen on other comments, that's so wrong of people to comment about circumcision

I've actually always wondered if it bothered other people that I would change my son in front of them. And especially when he got old and would run away from diapers. And now he's potty training and will run into the room completely naked screaming pee pee. It doesn't bother me, but I don't want to make other people uncomfortable.

I don't like seeing naked and usually bad smelling babys in public so I wish more people were like this.

I think it's weird but it's their choice. It's not like whoever else is in the room is going to be staring at the baby while it gets changed, I think most people would look around the room.

It's all about life experiences that makes a person have certain views on stuff like this. I believe in not changing just anywhere but I don't think it matters if your friend sees your baby's poopy butt
