I've been with my man for four months and we told each other that we love each other about 2-3 weeks ago. When I told my mom that she said "let me guess it was in the heat of the moment?" (As in during sex) and I said no so she said "then it was right after?" And I said "no, it was a while later." And she was like "mhm, so what do you love about that boy?" And "whatever" when I was listing the reasons why, and when I said he's a gentleman she said "a gentleman would've met your parents by now." And I said that I didn't want him to yet (because of the drama about my parents finding out we are having sex back in February) and she was like "but he hasn't asked to" blah blah. 😐that is why I don't feel comfortable sharing things about my relationship with her and why I don't want him to meet her or my dad who's even worse. I'm 21, my man is 26. This is my first real bf and the first time I've ever been in love. Any advice about how to work on my parents feelings toward him so they can meet eventually? Anyone else been in a similar circumstance?
