Do you think that just because you've found "the one" that it'll last forever?

I believe that just because you've found "the one" it doesn't mean that the relationship will last forever. What are your thoughts?

I've always thought that the one was the one you were going to spend your life with? Hince the name the one lol

I think there could be more than one that you think is "the one." Like, when you're a teenager, your first love is "the one." Your first serious boyfriend after that is "the one." Just because you feel like they're "the one" right now, doesn't mean they're going to be "the one" in every stage of your life.

Yes but ONLY if you work at it! Relationships take work, you both have to be putting in everything you have not just 50-50. You have to stay dedicated and always work at your relationship. They are time and effort but if you love that person it's easy to do all of it :)

Theyre not the one if it doesn't last. I think so many people have this fantasy of finding "the one" (which I think is possible) but you'll never find them if you keep staying with jerks. Any one that treats you badly is sooo not "the one". And the more time you waste with losers, the less likely you'll find the right person.

I know that I have found the one but with our situation we may not end up togther. It all depends on eachothers efforts and what you both want.

I've been with "the one" for almost 10 years now. I was 15 when we met. Does that make it set in stone that we will ? No. But we both think we will. We argue yes, but its rare and usually over stupid crap. The last one was over what shelf the toothbrushes go on. (I shit you not). Then we laugh about it later (if we even remember)

I don't think that things always work out for the best. They might be the one and you might never feel that kind of love again but life happens and sometimes the right people slip away.

Yes, I believe in the one. In response to another comment, of course you think your first boyfriend is the one because it's the first, however, I don't think I have ever thought that every guy I was with was 'the one'. I did know from the first few hours of meeting him, that my husband was my one and only. I'm young and 'naive' but I know deep with my soul that no one is ever going the 'one' for me except him. So, yes there is a soul mate for everyone and so if the relationship/marriage doesn't work out then they were not 'the one'
