First period after miscarriage really heavy???

So today I started my AF after my mc on 4/17/16. It's the heaviest bleeding I've had ever. I didn't even bleed this much during my miscarriages. It's really bright red heavy bleeding. Usually my periods are medium to light flow with majority of the time light. This is scaring me. Should I be concerned? Have any of you ladies experienced this???

So just to update! I bled heavily for about 2 days and today which is day 4 it's almost dried up. This is so weird, I had heavy heavy bleeding for about 2 days and that's it. I hope things go back to normal soon as I'm anxiously TTC again.

It's normal, I got my first period exactly 30 days after my miscarriage..and it was very heavy..the next couple were normal..and my last two were extremely light and short so even six months later they are a little weird

Yes mine was extremely heavy for me and lasted almost twice as long as normal. The second and third period were also heavy and longer, but not as bad as the first. My period returned to normal on the fourth cycle.
