Should we have a baby?

My fiancee is an marine and I'm Currently in school for culinary arts. We want to have a baby really bad but I'm a little worried about how everything will work because we'll never know when he's going to be called away. Should I agree to this?

My husband is active duty army, and from my point of view, the deployments are emotionally easier with our son around. But harder being the only parent for a while, it's tough to be on duty 24/7.  For my husband, it's heart wrenching to be away. It's very hard for him to miss so much of our son's life. Even with video conferences and such, it's not the same. So just make sure you talk about both sides of that journey so you're both prepared. This lifestyle isn't easy but if you communicate and are honest with one another you can make anything work.

I would just do it. My best friend is married to a marine. Moved to his base an they got pregnant in just months of being married. It was hard I'm not going to lie. He couldn't go to most of the appointments, even missed the birth. But they both wouldn't have changed it for the world. An the same thing your worried about it what happen to him. Their son was 3months old when her husband got deployed. He will be home around his sons first birthday. Even tho it's hard an it sucks you shouldn't stop your future plans over it. The way I look at it is you got married to him knowing everything that can happen so live your lives an be strong with anything that is thrown at you
