Baby Jason is born 💙
At 40 weeks and 3 days I went in at 8:30 pm to start my induction. My body wasn't progressing so it was needed. I started cervadil at about 10 and kept it in for 12 hours. It caused some pretty nasty contractions for me so I got some pain killers to sleep. The next morning at 11 am I was put on pitocen and my doctor broke my water to find out baby had pooped in the womb so no matter what I would have to have him by 11 am the next day or if have to have a c-section. Well, the contractions got worse to the point of screaming but I was only at a 3. I cursed at the nurse (which is mean but I was hurting and she didn't believe me) so she decided it was time for an epidural. While getting it done baby's heart beat dropped so they had to pull it out and lay me down and then when it stabilized, they did the epidural again. It really didn't work at first and the catheter hurt so bad. But the nurse didn't believe that I actually felt it and it hurt. Finally I bitched enough for her to turn it up and it finally worked. I napped and did my make up and hair and felt great. My husbands parents came and stayed for about an hour before taking off to eat. It was about 7:30 at this time. The nursing shift changed at 7. But the nurse didn't want to check me due to my water being broken. She made me move to my side and suddenly babies heart beat was gone. Nurses ran in and told me to get in my hands and knees which is hard to do when you can't feel anything. I was scared. His heartbeat and back at almost 200 Bpm. And I had to stay like that till it evened out. When I laid back down I started feeling crazy pressure that I hadn't before. And I kept telling her but she had just checked me and I was only at a 6. 20 minutes later I was like "I'm going to have a baby". She seemed annoyed but said she would check again. I was 10 cm and in a 0 station. About 30 minutes later baby was here. Healthy. Got cut like 4 times because he was huge! 8lbs 8oz 21 inches long! He is perfect. Scary birth and I hate how people kept dismissing me,but it's done :)Â
