Baby bedtime routine?

My baby is 1 month old and I was wondering if it is too early to start a bedtime routine?

How old was you baby when you guys start your bedtime? What time did you start your routine and what did it involve?

We started a routine around 3-4wks. 6:30p bath, bottle, snuggles, then bed. She started sleeping through the night at 6wks. One bottle at 2a-3a. Thank goodness because this mommy doesn't get home from work til after 1:30a and my hubby has to be up for work at 3a.

Yeah. From 7pm he wakes for 3 feeds between then and 6am X

I think this is really up to each individual family. If you can put your baby on a routine/schedule that early, and it works for your family, then go for it!

The family I used to nanny for had their daughter sleeping 7 hours a night starting around 5-6 weeks. She also had a schedule during the day of feed, play and nap starting around that time too. She'd be awake for about 2ish hours between feeding and playing, and then sleep about 2 hours afterwards. It worked really well for them!

My baby boy is 3 weeks old and we have a routine. He obviously doesn't understand it but I'm hoping that as he grows he will learn by association.

At 6pm we has a bath with mam or dad, then after that he is changed in to his bed time clothes, I feed him a bottle of breastmilk then I read to him.

At 7pm he is tucked up in bed with a pacifier. It normally takes about 15 minutes for him to go to sleep fully.

It's early days but it's also given myself and my husband some time to do things such as house work or just cuddle with a film.

Again baby probably doesn't understand but it makes planning visits and other activities much easier and eventually baby will learn x

It's never too early to start a routine. Just don't expect anything to come of it for quite a while. Baby won't understand it for a few months.
