Cord Wrapped Around Neck Linked to Hiccups??

I'm in my 35 week and have noticed that my baby has very frequent hiccups, 3-5 times a day that I've noticed. They range anywhere between 10-35 minutes.

I've talked to family and done some research and found out it may be because the umbilical cord is wrapped around her neck.

Is this true/a possibility and something I should talk to my doctor about??

My daughter had hiccups over 5x a day for what seemed like it would last forever and it wasn't cause of the cord around her neck. Hiccups help strengthen lungs, they are also practicing their breathing. If you have any cause for concern talk to your doc and they might give you a stress test where they monitor baby's heart rate and activity and any contractions.

After she was born she still gets hiccups a lot. The internet is NOT your friend during pregnancy or illness.

I found the idea of the cord getting wrapped around the neck very scary until I read an article that pointed out that babies don't breath in the womb- they get their oxygen from the placenta/cord. So they can't actually strangle from having the cord around their neck. It seemed so obvious when they explained it and I felt really relieved.

My baby girl hiccuped constantly. The doctor told me it was a good sign and not to be worried. She came out perfectly healthy! Don't let the internet scare you. And even outside of the womb she's hiccuping at least three times a day.

My son had the hiccups everyday sometimes for hours at a time and the cord was wrapped around his neck when he was born.

Honestly the cord could be wrapped around the neck at any time during pregnancy or labor, so I wouldn't say that hiccups can prove that. The cord is surrounding a fetus that moves continuously in a tiny space so I would t worry about t unless you stop feeling  movement around week 30+

This is my first baby, so I have no idea about whether or not the two are connected. But isn't this something that can be seen on a ultrasound?
