Pulmonary embolism and pregnancy?

Hey ladies!  Husband and I are currently ttc baby #1.  About 5 years ago I ended up in the ER with a blood clot in my lung, which was due to estrogen in my birth control. 
After talking with my doctor, he said I'd have to be on blood thinners when I find out I'm pregnant (from either a baby aspirin or lovanoxx injections)
Have any of you had a PE and how did it impact your pregnancy?

I have also had a PE and was on blood thinners for a year after. My husband and I are now trying and have been for awhile. I have seen a specialist and she has recommended right when I find out I'm pregnant I will be on lovenox shots. She is very confident it will be a healthy pregnancy with the lovenox shots. I just hope I get my BFP soon!  Good luck!

I also had a PE from birth control 7 weeks after my first baby was born. It was determined it was from my birth control because it was so long after my c-section. I currently take daily Lovenox injections and it is not bad! I have days where I'm like man I really don't want to poke myself. But, the outcome will be so worth it!
