Weird appt?

So I found out I'm pregnant YAY! Jan 23rd due date. I don't go in until June 7th and got told that's for an intake class (at naval hospital) and to do blood work and set up who Dr is and first appt. Anyway anybody else not going to do ultrasound until 9-11 weeks? Per nurse saying. I went earlier with my 1st boy (3 years (+9 months of prego)

Military wife here, that's standard for all military clinics now. The only way you get seen sooner/more often is if you have a specific reason (spotting, high risk, etc) or if you push them to. I had to get pissy with the corpsman to schedule an u/s at 6 weeks to confirm whether this is an ectopic pregnancy  or not (because I am high risk for that, and other things). If you want to get seen more often in the military Healthcare system you can it's just a pain. If you're stateside, I would recommend switching to Tricare Standard. It is very very minimal out of pocket expenses and you can pick almost whatever OB you want out in town and have more say in your care. We're overseas, or I would do the same. My nurse appt is June 13, I'll be 8 weeks and June 20 I have my dr appt where they will do a ultrasound.  I hate that they make us wait so long

Are you being seen at naval in camp Pendleton?
I hear they handle pregnancies a little different... heard so many bad things about naval. Many of my friends had to switch to get seen off base because of how crappy it is. BUT I have heard SOME good things as well. Lol so I pray you have it easy with them! 
I'll be moving back to Camp Pendleton sometime this year and will definitely request to be seen off base! I just feel that they don't really care at naval. /:

22 years ago when my son was born, we had one ultrasound at twenty weeks. 
With my daughter, (she's 16 months) I had my first at my doctor appointment at 10 weeks. We're expecting number 3 in January and we won't have our first again until my first dr apt at 12 weeks. 
It's killing me! Lol

All my pregnancies they waited til 8 + weeks since I had two losses Joe they are drawing my blood every fees days and I may get a scan for dating this weeks since I. Conceived right off a loss and have no idea when I ovulated.
