Bug spray???

Question

I am allergic to mosquitoes (carry an epi pen for them) how bad is bug spray with pregnancy??? Anybody have any non bug spray tips for keeping the mosquitoes away??

My OB said OFF is just fine. She actually didn't mention that any of them were dangerous.

Use bug spray with deet as a main ingredient. The risk for Zika virus in pregnant women is way worse than the risk of side effects from bug spray.

We use The Honest Company bug spray. It's really strong but works! It's wonderful if you don't mind smelling like a lemon!

Not as bad as anaphylactic shock....use the bug spray, try not to inhale any, and wear protective clothing if possible. You can look up natural bug sprays, but if your allergy is that bad I wouldn't risk them not working.

Baby oil in creamy form!! Works like a charm!

Peppermint repels them. Use a carrier oil (coconut, olive, etc) and add some  peppermint oil. Then use that mixture like a lotion. Don't put the peppermint oil directly on your skin. You can Google easy recipes. I also burn lemongrass incense when I'm outside and that helps keep them away too.

Dryer sheets !! I learned this off a life hack show. Rub dryer sheets all over your exposed skin and it keeps mosquitos away. I live in Florida so there super bad here. It works wonders for me. But being that you are allergic I would be a little weary having you try it and it not work for you.

Buy all natural bug spray. Also eating raw garlic
