How many bottles??

Question

How many bottles has every one gotten? I wanna make sure I have enough for when my little guy gets here and don't wanna get too many.

Starting with 3 to see if we like the brand and he takes to it, if so, we'll go buy some more :)

We're exclusively formula feeding, and we have 9 4oz bottles and 9 9oz bottles. This is what we had with my son, and it worked nicely so we only had to wash/sterilize bottles once a day.

I have only purchased a pack of 3 dr Brown's bottles. I plan to exclusively breastfeed, however I know sometimes the mothers plan and baby's plan are not always the same (which was the case with my first baby). I do plan to introduce a bottle once bf is established,  so for me only a few bottles should be needed.

I have 4 advent bottles and 4  regular  bottle regular bottles my mom got me.

I'm breastfeeding, and so far the only bottles I have are the ones I've gotten as freebies (registry packs and the like). I have 4 small bottles, 3 different brands. That should be good for now!

I just read an article that suggested 4 bottles if you are breast feeding and will only need bottles occasionally, if you are exclusively bottle feeding it suggested at least 12 bottles. The article also stressed to buy different kinds at first until you find the one your baby likes the best.

We plan on breast feeding, but we got 5 small 4 or 5 oz bottles and three 9 oz bottles so that I can pump and my hubby can feed and bond with her too. I want to wait and see how quickly we use them before buying a ton more. We didn't get ANY bottles for our shower and they are crazy expensive, so we're holding off.

I only have 3 so far just because we are exclusively breast feeding so I don't think we'll need more. If we do we'll get some!
