Just food for thought. Kind of long but hopefully worth the read

What's your guys opinions on teens being sexually active? I personally I have no problem with it. I lost my virginity at 16 and my family had a panic attack over it. I am now married to that man and we have a baby on the way 4 almost 5 years later. When I think about different situations that could arise in parenting my child and discussing with my husband how we will handle them yes the thought that our baby could be sexually active as a teen or even become a teen parent has come up and I personally feel that as a parent it is not my responsibility to make sure my child is living exactly how I want them to because if I could dictate that my child would NEVER have sex. It is my responsibility to make sure my child is safe, healthy, and knows that our house is a safe place to speak about what they need to speak about. If I have a girl I want her to know she can come to me for birth control or if we have a boy I want him to know he can be safe too. To me I think it would speak more about their responsability and maturity for them to come and talk to us and take the steps to be safe then to hide it. No I don't think sex should be casual. It is a special bond between a couple who loves each other deeply. However, it is natural and even if they don't stay with the individual who they lose it to I still feel like their sex life with their SO will be special because of the bond. I might just be a fruity hippie but it is how I feel. What's your guys opinions? I'm not looking to start a fight so let's just be civilized adults like I know we all are.
